Big State of mind.

For the past six months, most of my energy has gone to communicating with 'right wing' audiences about issues more traditionally within the purview of 'the left'.
The culmination of Big State mindset came this week with my appearance on the Hard Yarns podcast:
Big thanks to Branchy for having me on and for a fun conversation.
It's become obvious to me in the final week of the election campaign that many lefties would actually prefer to lose than to speak to anyone outside of their own ideological bubble.
At points over recent months and during the recording of this podcast episode, inhabiting the Big State persona has become a bit uncomfortable, and I'm not sure I've always fallen on the right side of a delicate line. Still, I think its been a worthy experiment in political communication.
The more I inhabit Big State mindset, the more it seems to become a part of me. That scares me a little, so I think its time to hang up the character for a while. After the election tomorrow, it's time for me to take a break, reset, and think about what's next.
